Brilliant experience
Very well organised
Fast boat meant we got out to see Mantas before other boats arrived
Nice lunch
Fun and friendly staff who looked after all participants
Our group had a rough experience. The guides had poor communication each step of the way. We didn’t know what was happening next and we’re not adequately prepared. When we got off the boat at the island, they didn’t tell us they removed our shoes from the boat and put them on the beach somewhere while they loaded us into the vans for lunch. We asked about our shoes and they said we didn’t need them and to just get into the vans and we could get them after lunch. Okay. But right after lunch they took us on two different hikes… but we had no shoes! When we got back to the boat at the end of the day, we were told they had actually lost our shoes, leaving them on the beach somewhere, so we walked home barefoot after a 14 hour day. We were exhausted. I reached out to the company and asked for some reimbursement for the lost shoes and was denied. I was shocked. They said take it up with TripAdvisor. More importantly, on two of the three snorkel spots there there many jelly fish. They hadn’t checked the water so all of us were covered in stings. The final snorkel spot was much nicer but as I was getting into the water the driver started the boat I lost balance and I dropped my fin into the water. I jumped into the water to grab my sinking fin and the driver started driving and turned the propeller into me and narrowly missed me with the propeller by inches! Their laid back style lacked proper communication at each step of the way and was ultimately very dangerous as they didn’t pay attention to basic safety. I’m grateful I wasn’t killed. I never leave bad reviews but I feel compelled to warn others. I did this same trip last august and had an amazing day so I brought three friends this time. It was awful.
Very disappointing. Early morning I contacted to check on weather as it was very windy and heavy rain. The company said it would be fine and did not allow for cancelation. While the rain was not a problem, the choppy waters did not allow for any snorkeling until the last 30 minutes- on what was a snorkeling trip (as predicted hours before the trip began). Upon contacting a few other outfits later, I learned that they can cancelled trips due to very poor conditions. The guide seamed nice, but the whole day was a waste of time and money.
It was a terrible experience
The guides were not as shown on your website
1 couldnt speak english at all and the other barely spoke english
They were not in Day trip Bali uniform so doubt they even worked for you.
Your advert stated you use “big new speed boat , 11 meter, 400hp “ that was a lie, an old and beaten 200hp boat was used.
We were handed snorkelling equipment that already had used mouth peices on, we should of been handed new mouth peices to put on. ( luckily we brought our own just in case)
Worst of all we were hoping we could atleast get some pictures and videos with the go pro you stated.
But when i asked for the go pro they said they did not have one and asked if we did ?
A terrible and massively overpriced experience which ended by 11am leaving us stuck on the island waiting until 1:30pm to get on the boat and leave
Cancelled at 10pm the night before when we challenged for a discount because the guy (another company they dropped our booking to) said we couldn't go to all the places they mentioned on their own itinerary and they just simply said "better find another company" very unprofessional.
They could said it nicely of no discount but seems like they making enough money to be able to decline customers like this.
I told him we are not strick to go to all the spots he sold us to on the itinerary as we might stay longer at one place but that guy they hired to take us already give up and changing the itinerary before even started. What a waste of time.
If they send you itinerary for east and west island in one day, they won't do it all of them. You've been oversold.
I don’t usually write reviews like this and I really was looking for any reason not to, but in order to save any in the future to feel as disappointed I do now, here we go.
This was a Christmas present for my sis and Dad – really wanted to treat them with this trip, so saved up and splashed out for a private tour. Having lived in Bali for over a month I figured that as this was so much money (9.5 to 10mil IDR, $618), it must be a truly one of a kind experience – was going to give us one of the best memories of the island we could ask for. Seeing the images and videos marketed, you’d believe that, but I guess it set my expectations far too high.
Before I get into the bad bits – The guides were perfectly nice enough, not going to fault them. It's just the entire experience/how not worth the price it is.
The boat – it’s okay. Probably one of the less nice boats I’ve been on in the few times I’ve had a boat trip. No wee shower off the back to rinse, no useable loo etc. both of which I don't really care about, but the thing which struck me most was we were paying over 3mil per person and the best we were offered on the boat was water. Nothing else, no snacks, nicer drink etc. That small kind of thing can go a long way when you're out for 6+ hours!
The first two snorkelling stops – we luckily saw one manta and other lovely corals, but we were only in the water for maybe less 15mins in total because ‘the conditions were too choppy/harsh’. It didn’t feel unsafe – there were plenty of people out paddling, so not sure why we were singled out and rushed off. Quite unfair especially when the cancellation policy is “This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.” – so why didn’t you just change the date or cancel? But this was another point – They say this on the website but they changed it slightly on the booking (after I’d read the website version and booked) to say *the port authority decides this, not us* essentially. And by then I couldn’t cancel because again, even though it says 24hr cancellation notice online, on the actual booking they change it to 48hr. Great.
On the island – we were taken around in a car with the loudest custom-fitted exhaust I’ve ever heard haha, it was actually kind of hilarious at first but after an hour of driving it gets annoying, naturally. The restaurant is not ‘fancy’ – you’re allowed one drink such as water, juice or a soda and a meal similar to chicken and rice. That’s all you can have. And you only have about an hour at this restaurant with an infinity pool, so not really any time to swim or enjoy it after eating. We cut the trip short on the island because even though the view at Nusa Penida was gorgeous, it was raining and pretty miserable by the time we got there, but not putting that at their fault because hey, this is wet season.
Last two snorkelling spots – the corals and fish were incredible, but I can’t really say they did that because any much cheaper boat trip would have the same incredible experience. It just left me with a pit in my stomach feeling, like I’d really been ripped off here.
Finally, I was waiting for the videos and photographs to be released of our day, because I thought you know what? If anything can save this it’s going to be the sick images they advertise taking for you while you’re on this trip. I couldn't wait to see what he'd captured behind the scenes.
...Well, I’ve attached an image of what we ended up with. No photographs, and that’s the quality of video we got.
I'm just really disappointed, I can't look at this as a good trip.
My advice – you can get so, so much better bang for your buck elsewhere on this beautiful island. $618 I had to save for weeks I’ll never see again. Thanks
Terrible experience and here are reasons:
1). No private boat, instead it’s a 14 people shared boat. I could not stand for false advertisement. This is cheating on title. It’s shared tour, not a private! (But Lethe price is a very much private tour)
2). Not seeing any mantas which that’s why we chose for this tour. Not to mention, the boat did not even stop at mantas bay - false advertisement again
3). The agenda says we will stop at 4 snorkelling spots, for 1 hour each. And that’s how much time we stopped at each spots:
- mantas bay: zero minute
- crystal bay: 15 mins ish
- gamat bay: 30 mins ish
- mangroove : 30 mins ish
I felt so cheated. That’s definitely what we spent for $200 pp. if they put the correct info, we wouldn’t choose to join this tour
4). Instead we spent nearly 5 hours for the bloody land tour, enjoy the 36 degree hot day, on island traffic jam, and only taking some photos. That’s not what we expected!
5) pick up driver kept whining about toll way costs for nusa dua highway. Excuse me? Your pickup service price isn’t cheaper than grab, if u think toll cost should be included then don’t give wrong quote to customers on the website
6). All snorkelling equipments were mixed on the boat after being used!! So after getting back to the boat, u we’re using the snorkelling equipments from other strangers! Not to mention any Covid risk
So in general, This is a more like a 750k indo pp tour. Definitely not a 2m+ indo pp tour. We had nothing but disappointment
The only good thing is our tour guide was energetic
